With the theme, “The business of green: what’s in it for you?” our speakers will be exploring the value that the green building movement offers individuals, companies, building owners and communities. We will be exploring how the green buildings contribute to the business of designing, building and operating buildings more efficiently, new product and service business opportunities at home and abroad and how better design and planning builds more livable and sustainable communities.
ASBS’s key note speakers set the tone for the day. Alex Steffen is one of the world’s leading green futurists and shares his pioneering but practical approach to sustainability. Eric Corey Freed, a recognized ‘organic’ architect and published author of “Green$ense for the Home”, shares his organic and ecological approach to design using both ancient and the newest of environmental building materials. These speakers will be complemented by local speakers chosen from a ‘call for presenters’ currently open until Feb. 14, 2012.
